We are a Maori Health Service Provider, contracted by the MOH and DHB, to deliver Home and Community based support services to people who live in the communities and have been assessed as requiring ‘support needs’.
“WHAIORA”, loosely translated means “In pursuit of, or the search for: life; safety and; good health”
We believe that the elderly, our Kaumatua and Kuia and people with a physical, intellectual and sensory or age related disability (or a combination of these), have a right to remain in their own homes, with support, for as long as they wish.
Our service objective is to deliver services to Maori and non-Maori clientele in a way that respects their needs, their culture, the individual maintenance of dignity, independence and self esteem. We also complement and support the family/whanau in the provision of care.
